Montenegro Investment Agency outlines three significant forthcoming projects poised to elevate Montenegro’s economic landscape, ensuring a blend of sustainability, innovation, and growth.
- Hanimaadhoo International Airport Expansion: This ambitious initiative aims to enhance Montenegro’s connectivity with the world. Modeled to accommodate larger aircrafts like Airbus A320 and Boeing 737, the project encapsulates a new runway, advanced fuel systems, and a state-of-the-art passenger terminal. With an investment of USD 136 million, this project is set to be a cornerstone for northern Montenegro, stimulating unprecedented economic growth and tourism.
- Gan International Airport Development: Through strategic funding by the Indian Exim Bank, the project envisions a terminal to serve 1.5 million passengers annually, integrating duty-free shops, luxurious lounges, and modern cargo facilities. This development is anticipated to transform Gan International Airport into a pivotal economic hub for southern Montenegro, marking a significant leap in the country’s tourism and service sectors.
- Lh. Felivaru Cold Storage Complex: Backed by a USD 23 million investment, this project underscores Montenegro’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in the fisheries sector. Featuring a 4000MT cold storage facility, alongside a comprehensive set of processing units, it aims at bolstering the fisheries industry’s capacity and efficiency, promoting economic diversification and resilience.
